Clayton L. Kerr

Clayton L. Kerr, 67, of Route 1, Middletown, died 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 1987, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born July 29, 1920, at Oakville, he was the son of Walter and Esther Laue Kerr. He married Barbara E. Anderson March 15, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo.

He was a retired farmer and truck driver for the Arledge Transfer Co. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Farm Bureau and Teamsters Union.

Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Jacqueline Mellinger, Middletown, Cheryl Lyon, Sperry, Brenda Mutchler, Farmington, and Deborah Blank, Holt, Mo.; one son, Bradley Kerr, Middletown; two sisters, Joyce McDowell, West Covina, Calif., and Gilda Rutter, Mediapolis; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel.

The service for Mr. Kerr will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel with Rev. Robert Dodds officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Heart Fund.
