Anna I. Von Seggen

Services for Anna I. Von Seggen, 63, Farmington, were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 28, 1987 at the Farmington Church of the Nazarene. The Reverend Robert Kelley officiated. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington.

Mrs. Von Seggen died at 10 a.m. Friday, September 25, 1987 at the Henry County Health Center, Mount Pleasant, following a short illness.

She was born January 28, 1925 at University Park, Iowa. She retired June 15, 1987 from Mount Pleasant Community School District after teaching 34 years in schools in Lee, Henry and Van Buren counties. She was a member of the Farmington Church of the Nazarene, the Missionary Society and the Bible Study Club.

On May 28, 1942, in Farmington, she was married to Laverne C. Von Seggen, who survives.

Also surviving are her stepmother, Eva Swalwell, Farmington; two sons, Dale Von Seggen, Englewood, Colorado and Wayne Von Seggen, Winston-Salem, North Carolina; a brother, Irv Swalwell, Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sisters, Rosalie Cutler, Fairfield and Dr. Alice Hawkins, Tarzana, California and four grandchildren.

Her parents were Reverend Christopher and Matalida isabelle Ball Swalwell.

A memorial is being established with the Church of the Nazarene Missionary Society.
