Clara E. Fraise

Mrs. Clara E. Fraise, 62, Fort Madison Route 2, died at 2:17 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at Fort Madison Community Hospital, after an automobile accident.

She was born Jan. 11, 1923, at Jetmore, Kan., to Glenn and Elma A. Thomas Hawkins. She married Antony "Tony" Fraise on Nov. 7, 1939, at Fort Madison; he died Oct. 11, 1981.

Mrs. Fraise was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, West Point.

Surviving are his(her) mother, Fort Madison; six sons, Melvin, West Point, Ronald and Ralph, both of Fort Madison, Raymond, Burlington, Glen, Argyle and Alfred, Farmington; three daughters, Mrs. Annett (Carroll) Jones, Ottumwa, Ruth Ann Lever, Milan, Ill., and Mrs. Esther (Clark) Neil, Bakersfield, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; five brothers, John and Forrest Hawkins, both of Fort Madison, James and Bert, both of Marco Island, Fla., and Larry, Muscatine; and a sister, Mrs. Willa (Tom) Darley, Denmark, Iowa.

The rosary will be recited at 7:30 tonight at King-Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison. A memorial has been established.

Services for Mrs. Fraise will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary church, West Point, with the Rev. Gerald Hoenig officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
