Rhea Ecklund

FAIRFIELD - Rhea J. Ecklund, 88, of 205 West Briggs in Fairfield died at 6:15 a.m. June 14, 1986, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.

She was born on Jan. 29, 1898, in Birmingham to John and Cora Bell Byers.

She married James Stansberry in 1916 in Birmingham. He died in 1947. She married Elmer Ecklund on Sept. 26, 1957. He died on Nov. 29, 1977.

She was a homemaker; lived most of her life in Birmingham; was a member of Birmingham United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Birmingham Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Stansberry.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield the Rev. Duane Olsen officiating.

Burial will be in Fell Cemetery in Libertyville.

Visitation is 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
