Kathie Thompson

Kathleen Cecilia Thompson, 34, of 213 Hill Ave. died at 6:13 a.m. July 18, 1986, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

She was born March 6, 1952, in Topeka, Kan. to Bob and Fran Pyle. She graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1970 and Indian Hills School of Nursing in 1975. She was an employee of St. Joseph Hospital, Van Buren County Hospital and Sunnyslope Care Center. She married Ronald D. Thompson on June 17, 1978.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Angela; a son, Zachery; her parents of Ottumwa; a grandmother, Lois Johnson of Bussey; two sisters, Mary Guest and Barbara Pyle of Ottumwa; two brothers, Greg Pyle of Monterey, Calif., and James Pyle of Dallas, Texas; four nieces; and three nephews.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Revs. Thomas Mohr, Paul Donahue and Paul C. Hart officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Larry Muntz, Steve Dyer, Ken Kneen, Steve Pyle, John Pyle and Don Celenia.

Memorials may be sent to an educational trust fund for her children in care of Reece Funeral Home.
