MILTON - Kenneth Gooden, 69, of Memphis, Mo. died at 6:15 a.m. Sept. 7, 1986, at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.
He was born April 2, 1917, in Davis County to Earl and Delphia Lasley Gooden. He farmed in the Milton area for many years. He moved to Memphis in 1975. He married Alice Marie Hissem Aug. 18, 1937, in Memphis.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Gary of Ottumwa, and Roger of Oakland, Calif.; two daughters, Linda Bunch of Memphis, and Glenda Creath of Troy; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Laverne of Ottumwa, and Robert of Milton.
The service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Memphis, the Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Payne-Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis.
A memorial has been established to First Christian Church in Memphis, or the American Cancer Society.
