DOUDS-

Albert A. Ritz, 72, a retired farmer, died at 4 p.m. Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Bruce Blackburn of Douds, following a lingering illness.

He had been a resident of the Selma community, farming for many years prior to the death of his wife [Emily Quigley Ritz] on December 6, 1950.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. [Doris] Blackburn and Mrs. Roscoe [Mildred] Padget of Selma; a brother Russell, of Troy; five sisters, Mrs. Burr [Lu] Taylor, Mrs. Otto [Freeda] Porter and Mrs. Lewis [Lydia] Carroll of Bloomfield, Mrs. Fred [Barbara] Ingold of Augusta, Kan., and Mrs. Lee [Bertha] Matt of Troy, and four grandchildren [Connie and Gary Blackburn, Laverne and Jerry Padget.]

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pedrick funeral home here. Burial will be in the Bethlehem cemetery.
