FOSTER BREWER

Foster A. Brewer, 75, of Milton died September 20, 1986, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

He was born June 8, 1911, in Davis County to Kirby Smith and Blanche Work Brewer. He married Grace Alexander Nov. 15, 1933, in Keokuk. He graduated from Milton High School in 1930 and was a member of United Methodist Church in Milton. He was an employee of Goodrich Tire Company Quit Service in Galesburg., and was formerly sexton of Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Joe of Galesburg, Ill; a grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Zola Kirkhart of Cantril and Zora Grinnell of Burlington. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Beverly Wenstrom in November 1979 and Gertrude Hall on August 26, 1986.

The services were Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Milton, the Rev. Andrew Rubinking officiaiting. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.

Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society and Milton Methodist Church.
