Mrs. Deborah Gilbert Came to Van Buren County 59 Years Ago.-----A Grand Old Lady

Kilbourne--the many friends of Aunt Debby Gilbert were grieved to hear of her death which occurred Saturday evening, May 4, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lina Jackson of Douds. She was a grand old lady, loved by all who know her. She came from Indiana when young, and in the year of 1848, if we mistake not, and has always resided in Van Buren county. She leaves several children to mourn her loss, which indeed is a great one, for she was indeed a good mother in every sense of the word. Her children have the sincere sympathy of all friends at this place.
