Chester P. Louth

Chester P. Louth, 73, native of Lick Creek Township, Van Buren County, Iowa, died Dec. 28, 1985 at ?? ?.m. at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant. He has been a resident of New London for the past four years.

Born June 11, 1912, the son of Will E. and Grace DeGood Louth in Van Buren County, he grew up in Fairfield, lived in the Chicago and Waukegan area where he was employed with the railroad for several years, and lived in the Ottumwa - Fairfield community where he was a self employed painting contractor.

He married Viola Shields Davis on Aug. 30, 1962 in Fairfield, she survives along with two sons: Ronald Louth of Birmingham, and Richard Louth of Clinton, two stepsons: Harold Davis of Ottumwa and Wayne Davis of New London, two sisters: Irene Swartz of Ottumwa and Margaret Latta of St. Petersburg, Fla. and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Jan. 2, 1986 at 11 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial was in the Fell Cemetery near Libertyville. Memorials may be made to the New London Care Center Activity Fund.
