David Kent Simmons, 35, Farmington, died of carbon monoxide poisoning Saturday evening at his home.

He was born May 4, 1951, in Keokuk, and was a lifelong Farmington resident. He was employed by the Mount Hamill Elevator as a truck driver, and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Farmington, Actioneers(err) of Farmington and the Farmington Rod and Gun Club.

On October 28, 1978, in Bonaparte, he married Cindy Miller, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Chad, 7, a daughter, Amy Jo, 5, both at home; and a sister, Mrs. Richard (Sheri) Lowery, Farmington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Eleanor Kincaid Simmons.

The body is at the Hofbauer Funeral Home where rites will be Thursday, December 18, 1986 at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. James Rozendaal will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenglade Cemetery at Farmington.

A memorial is being established for his children. Contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home.
