Ruby Hoyer

Mrs. Ruby Hoyer, 88, of Salem died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 1986 at the Henry County Health Center.

Born August 24, 1898, in Primrose, she was the daughter of Charles and Leretha Hampton Leazer. She married Albert Hoyer, May 6, 1922, in Mount Pleasant; he died in 1977.

Mrs. Hoyer was a member of the Sharon reformed Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a son, J.R. Hoyer, Hillsboro, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 11 at the Sharon Reformed Presbyterian Church northwest of Donnellson with the Rev. Kenneth Harden officiating. Burial was in the Sharon Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Salem Community Building.
