Harold H. Jemison

Harold H. "Stub" Jemison, son of Oscar and Anna Ewing Jemison, was born October 3, 1913 in Keosauqua and departed this life the morning of Thursday, Feb. 6, 1986 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua at the age of 72.

Stub spent his life in Keosauqua, and was a longtime employee of the Western Auto Store.

He married Sara Mae Tucker in Fairfield Feb. 24, 1946. She died in 1963. His parents, brothers Carl, Phil, and Maurice and a sister, Irma Koonts also preceded him in death.

Surviving are cousins, nieces and nephews and friends including the Gordon Brannan family with whom he was associated in business for many years.

He was affiliated with the Christian Church and served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 8, 1986 at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Rev. Bob Patterson officiating. Interment with military rites by Beer-Barker Post 113, American Legion, was in Purdom Cemetery, Keosauqua.
