Maude L. Trumbo

Maude Lillian Trumbo, formerly of Van Buren County, died Dec. 17, 1985, at a San Francisco hospital after a short illness. She was 85.

She was the daughter of William P. and Caroline E. Rehkopf Trumbo and was born on a farm near Utica, Iowa, March 8, 1905. She spent her childhood and grew up in the Bonaparte area, graduating from Bonaparte High School in 1923. At an early age she joined the Presbyterian church.

After teaching for several years in Van Buren county she attended the Institute of Business in Kansas City. From there she moved to California where she made her home in San Francisco.

She worked as an administrative secretary and bookkeeper for a large business firm until her retirement.

Survivors include two sisters, Gertrude E. Trumbo, Bloomfield and Wilda C. Trumbo, Des Moines and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Jennie M. Lane and Elizabeth I Sirdoreus and three brothers, John H., Byron H. and Pres N. Trumbo.

The body was cremated.
