MOUNT PLEASANT - Marjorie Bailey, 84, of Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 1995, at Maple Leaf Health Care Center.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant. Committal service and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Spencer Cemetery north east of Stockport. Open visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at Weir Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. A memorial has been established to First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant.

Mrs. Bailey was born April 7, 1911, near Stockport in Van Buren County, the daughter of Ray and Mary Shelman Donald. She graduated from Stockport High School in 1930 and attended Parsons College in Fairfield in the teacher education program. On March 25, 1934, she married Bernard Bailey, who died Dec. 8, 1980. She taught rural school near Stockport for a year. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Surviving are two sons, James B. of Mount Hamill, Ronald B. of Grand Island, Neb.; two daughters, the Rev. Antoinette Morehouse of Kahoka, Mo, Tanya Cox of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
