Slema Shinbloom

Selma Shinbloom, of Parkview Care Center, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 1995, at Parkview.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carl Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Open visitation begins at noon Tuesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Parkview Care Center Activity Fund.

Miss Shinbloom was born in Bonaparte, the daughter of Frank Oscar and Mary Bess Humphryes Shinbloom. She grew up in the Bonaparte and Bentonsport communities, and had lived most of her life in Fairfield, where she graduated from high school. She had worked for the U.S. government in Washington, D.C., and in Fairfield she had worked at city hall, Pickens Firestone, and had operated the Mode-A-Day Ladies Clothing Store.

She has no immediate survivors. Her parents; a sister, Hallie C. Shinbloom; and two brothers, Milton and Harry, preceded her in death.
