Ila W. Shipley

Ila W. Shipley, 83, 200 N. Fourth St., formerly of Birmingham, died at 4:34 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 1991, at Nelson Nursing Home.

the service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds. Visitation is open after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home, where memorials may be left.

Mrs. Shipley was born Aug. 29, 1908, in Jefferson County, the daughter of William and Mary Spurlock Brandt. She graduated from Shelbina, Mo., High School. On Nov. 27, 1929, she married Harley F. Shipley of Shelbina. He died June 19, 1987. A homemaker, she lived west of Birmingham until moving to Fairfield in 1987. She was a Methodist.

Surviving are two daughters, Viola Shipley of Fairfield, Violet Findlay of Libertyville; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A son, Harley R., two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
