Charles E. Willits

The service for Charles E. Willits, 65, 200 N. 29th St., Lot 2, who died at his home Thursday afternoon, Nov. 21, 1991, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Thomas officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham. Visitation is open at the funeral home until the time of the service. A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association.

Willits was born April 10, 1926, in Athens, Mo., the son of Charles E. and Mable Irene Pope Willits. He had lived in the Fairfield community for the past eight years and before that in California, where he owned and managed an auto parts store and was a salesman for Forne? Welders. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his mother, M. Irene Gilson of Keosauqua; stepfather Philip Gilson of Fairfield and a sister, Marian Willits of Los Luna, N.M. His father preceded him in death.
