Rex O. Birchmier

FARMINGTON - Rex O. Birchmier, 60-year-old life resident of Farmington, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in Veterans Hospital, Iowa City.

He was born June 13, 1925, to Leo and Blanche Prather Birchmier. He served in the army in World War II. He was an electrician.

Surviving: Three brothers, Ross Birchmier, Livermore, Calif., Samuel Birchmier, Keokuk, and Perry Birchmier, Iowa City; and a sister, Lavelle Moss, Bremerton, Wash.

Committal: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Greenglade Cemetery. Mr. Robert Hambright. A memorial to the Farmington EMT has been established at the Hofbauer Funeral Home.
