MRS. RETA STORY
Funeral services for Mrs. Reta Story were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 1985 at the Farmington Baptist Church. The Rev. Ron Haas officiated with burial in Greenglade Cemetery.
Mrs. Story, 66, of Bonaparte, died at 2:05 p.m. Monday, September 2, 1985 in the Keokuk Area Hospital.
She was born November 19, 1918 at Farmington and was a lifelong resident of the Farmington and Bonaparte area. She was a cook at Harmony High School. She had served as a WAVE during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post in Bonaparte.
On February 18, 1966 at Kahoka, Missouri, she was married to Denzil Story, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lola and Laura Story, both of Bonaparte; two brothers, Clair McBride, Sr. and Don McBride, both of Farmington.
She was preceded in death by a sister. Her parents were Arthur and Lola Huston McBride.
A memorial is being established to the Keokuk Area Hospital Contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home.
