Mrs. Bertha Stevens

Mrs. Bertha Stevens, 85, of Argyle, died Saturday, Oct. 5, at her home.

Mrs. Stevens was born Dec. 8, 1899, in Jefferson County, Iowa.

On Jan. 30, 1934, at Fort Madison, she was married to Orr Stevens, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a brother, Rollin Hosette of New York, NewYork; two sisters, Mrs. Lester (Louise) Workman of Stockport and Josephine Hosette of Arlington, Va. and three grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her son and two brothers. Her parents were Charles L. and Mary Droz Hosette.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson with the Rev. James Fyfe officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery, Fort Madison.

Friends may call as they desire after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hofbauer Funeral Home.
