Guyland "Bud" Beatty

Guyland "Bud" Beatty died October 1, 1985 at his home in Fairfield. Services were Thursday, October 3 at the Raymond Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen cemetery and the Rev. Clair Odell officiated.

The son of Harry and Grace McGaw Beatty, he was the last decendent(sp) of Guyland Beatty who settled in Fairfield in 1861. Beatty was a graduate of the Fairfield High School and attended Parsons College. He was a veteran of World War II and in 1945 was united in marriage to Frankie Dressendofer of Milton. She survives. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Katherine Naffziger.

Active in sports and an enthusiastic sports fan, he was a familiar figure at football games and on the tennis courts.
