Madge Carter

Madge A. Carter, 69, Farmington, died Tuesday, June 18, at the Keokuk area hospital.

She was born Dec. 23, 1915, in Farmington, to Ernest and Sarah Jane Marshall Munford. She married Lewis D. Carter.

She was a registered nursed and lived in Minnesota most of her married life. Shew as a member of the Homemaker Club and the Farmington Cemetery Association.

Surviving: Three sons, Edward L. Carter, Baltimore, Md., William D. Carter, Cedar Rapids, and Charles K. Carter, Keosauqua; two daughter, Claudia Carter, St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Joseph (Ria Elaine) Wilcox, Rochester, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Forrest (Reta) Rider, and Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Schmidt, both of Farmington; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, Robert Hambright officiating; burial at the Leroy (Minn.) Cemetery at 1 p.m. Saturday.
