SADIE A. PRICE

Sadie A. Price, daughter of John and Sada Graves Evans, was born May 17, 1897 at Iatan, Missouri and departed this life early the morning of Saturday, August 31, 1985 at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield, at the age of 88.

On November 23, 1918 she married Rowland O. "Boley" Price at Troy. They farmed in the Milton, Troy and Selma communities. In 1956, they moved to Fort Madison and in 1967 to Bonaparte. Mr. Price died in 1973.

She was the last of her family and was also preceded in death by a son, Noel. Mrs. Price had resided in the nursing home the past five years.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth and his wife Shirley of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; a daughter, Madolyn Stansbery, Burlington; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Noel Price of Fort Madison; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 2, 1985 at 11 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Rev. Don Morrison of the Keosauqua United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton. A memorial was established for the cemetery.
