ETHEL SMITH

Ethel Smith, daughter of J. Millard and Eliza Rambo Parsons, was born August 12, 1892 near Douds and departed this life early, Wednesday, May 22, 1985 in Sun City, Arizona at the age of 92.

She married Wayne Smith, October 17, 1924. They spent their active life farming south of Douds. Wayne died in 1961. After his death, she lived several years in Fairfield, returned to Douds to live in Twin City Manor, and moved to Sun City to be with her sister and brother in the fall of 1984.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Will, Jamie, Leslie, Jay and Andrew and two sisters, Etha and Eleanor.

Suviving are a brother, Mark Parsons and a sister, Edna Reams, both of Sun City, Arizona.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 28, 1985 at 1 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, with Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield.
