Jean Champ

FAIRFIELD - Jean Champ, 48, of Fairfield died at 10:55 a.m. Dec. 28, 1985, at Jefferson County Hospital.

She was born June 28, 1937, in Iowa City to Fay O. and Eulalia Carlow Champ. She was a lifetime resident of Fairfield and had been a grocery clerk at Charlie's IGA Grocery for 27 years. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at Fairfield Free Methodist Church, and a member of WMFI.

She is survived by three brothers, Oren and Robert of Fairfield and John of Waterloo; and three sisters, Kathryn and Charlotte Champ of Fairfield and Mary Kisling of Keosauqua.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Free Methodist Church in Fairfield, the Rev. Charles Kaufmann officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. Friends may call at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to Free Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
