Margaret A. Regur

Margaret A. Regur, daughter of Edward and Katherine Madden Walker, was born February 12, 1905 near Stockport and died Thursday, June 13, 1985 at her home in Center Chapel community southeast of Keosauqua at the age of 80.

On August 19, 1925 she married Hollis Regur. He died in 1979. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Merlin and Edwin Walker. Remaining to cherish her memory are a son, Bill Dean Regur and his wife, Nancy, of Hawkinsville, Georgia, two grandchildren, Rickie Regur and his wife, Kim, and Brenda Valiante and her husband, Jim, and two great grandchildren, Duane and Vickie Regur. Also surviving are a sister, Myrtle Rehkopf of Ottumwa, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Margaret was a long time member of the Center Chapel United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, was a member of the Keosauqua Flower and Garden Club and for many years worked on the flower exhibits at the Van Buren County Fair.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 16, 1985 at 3 p.m. in the Center Chapel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dennis Fox, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Center Chapel Cemetery. A memorial was established and gifts may be left at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
