ROY WICHHART

Roy Wichhart, 75, Keosauqua died in Van Buren County Hospital at 7 a.m. Sunday, April 28, 1985.

He was born October 17, 1909 at Monroe, to Albert and Christina Wichhart-Wichhart. He married Kathryn Pollock May 12, 1937 in Lancaster, Missouri.

Mr. Wichhart farmed and was employed for many years by Fairfield Engineering and Manufacturing Co., retiring in 1975. He moved from Monroe to Fairfield in 1928 and from Fairfield to Keosauqua in 1956.

Surviving: His wife; three sons, Thomas, Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Jerry, New London, and Donald, Bonaparte; three daughters, Christine Wiley, Lees Summit, Missouri and Diane Bartholomew and Rosemary Charbonneau, both of Keosauqua; two sisters, Jeanette Buchanan, Nashua, and Averda Wichhart, Fairfield; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April, 30, 1985 at the United Methodist Church with Rev. Dennis Fox officiating. Burial was in Purdom Cemetery. A memorial was to the Van Buren County Ambulance Service has been established at Pedrick Funeral Home.
