CARL R. KUNZMAN

Carl R. Kunzman, son of John and Mae Schwarzenbach Kunzman, was born October 15, 1913 near Douds and departed this life the afternoon of Wednesday, July 17, 1985 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, at the age of 71.

Carl spent his life farming the family farm southeast of Douds until retiring in 1974. He lived briefly in Keosauqua and the past 10 years in Selma.

Surviving are a brother John L. Kunzman of Ottumwa; three sisters, Helen Carroll, Ottumwa, Catherine Saylor, Blakesburg, and Pauline Benson, Arvada, Colorado; nieces and nephews.

His parents, his step-mother Rosa Kunzman and two brothers, Walter and Russell, preceded him in death.

He was member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomfield.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 20, 1985 at 10:30 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds with Dr. Chris Daniel officiating. Interment was in Leando Cemetery.
