THERMAN O. McINTOSH

Therman O. McIntosh, 73, of Farmington, died Saturday, March 9, 1985 at 12:06 p.m. in the Ottumwa Hospital.

Born October 13, 1911 in Van Buren County, Iowa, he was the son of Archie and Effie Winters McIntosh, Sr.

He was married to Thelma O. Gares in 1935. She died in 1949. He later married Iola Pilcher on July 5, 1955, who survives.

He was a 40-year resident of Farmington and was former co-owner of the Farm & Home Hardware Store in Farmington.He served as a bus driver at Farmington for we years.

In addition to his widow, Iola McIntosh of Farmington, he is survived by one son, Ronald McIntosh of Farmington; and one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Donna) Hamberg, Farmington; two brothers, Archie McIntosh and Gene McIntosh, both of Monmouth, Illinois; two sisters, Nova Degalau of Moorland, Iowa and Edna Reich of Madrid, Iowa; 3 step-brothers, Harold Poling of Memphis, Missouri, Kenneth Poling of Ottumwa and Craig Poling of Eau Clair, Wisconsin; and one step-sister, Ilene Kohlmeyer of Waterloo, Iowa; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

The funeral was held Tuesday, March 12, 1985 at 1:30 p.m. at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. The Rev. James Rozendaal officiated. Burial was in the Christy Cemetery, rural Farmington.

Memorials to the Farmington EMT Squad may be left at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington.
