Edith Buelah Moncrief

FT. MADISON - Mrs. Edith Buelah Moncrief, 81, Ft. Madison Nursing Care Center, died at 11:35 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital.

She was born May 5, 1903, at Montreal, Mo., to John and Annabelle Dye Knox. She married Edgar Ray Moncrief on June 1, 1924, at Ft. Madison; he died July 4, 1970.

Mrs. Moncrief was a member of First Baptist Church and a 65-year resident of the Ft. Madison community.

Surviving: A son, Joseph W., Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Irene) Brockelman, Wever, and Mrs. Warren (Waneta) Rehm, Cantril; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, First Baptist Church, Ft. Madison, the Rev. James G. Bridges; Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established for her church.
