Delbert Loving

HILLSBORO - Delbert Loving, 65, Hillsboro, died at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at University Hospitals, Iowa City.

He was born April 8, 1919, at Keosauqua. He was reared by his grandparents at Keosauqua. He married Bessie Gill on June 6, 1940, at Keosauqua. He served in the army during World War I and was a member of the Hillsboro American Legion post. He retired in November of 1980, from the Burlington Northern Railroad.

Surviving: His wife; a son, Robert Loving, Fairfield; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Countryman, Fairfield, and Mrs. Charlotte Hudson, New London; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three half-brothers, George Craff, Dubuque, Wade Craff, Birmingham, and Everett Craff, Hillsboro; a half-sister, Mrs. Wanda Kahl, What Cheer.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Hillsboro Baptist Church, the Rev. Lester Smith and the Rev. Ed Newman; Hillsboro Cemetery with full military rites. A memorial to the American Heart Fund has ben established at the Beatty Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant.
