Warren Manning

FAIRFIELD - Warren C. Manning, 61, of Libertyville died at 2:45 a.m. Sept. 5, 1985, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

He was born Oct. 19, 1923, in Batavia to Joseph and Ethel Campbell Manning. A lifetime resident of Batavia and Libertyville, he was a farmer and painting contractor for more than 40 years and associated with w. Manning & Sons Painting and Wallcovering Contractors. He married Mildred Smith on Oct. 11, 1945, in Nashua. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairfield.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Chris of Fairfield and Jon of Libertyville; four grandchildren; a sister, Freda Manning of Fairfield; and a brother Melvin of West Des Moines. He was preceded in death by a son, Craig.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, the Revs. Clair Odell, Jerry Miller and Robert Connor officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery.

Family visitation is 7-8:30 p.m. today at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

A memorial has been established to his church or the Cancer Fund.
