Beatrice Pl Tomlinson

Beatrice P. Tomlinson, 73, of Ottumwa, died at 6:19 p.m. on Jan. 2, 1985 at University Hospital in Iowa City. She was the mother of Jack L. Tomlinson of Douds.

She was born on June 29, 1911, in Ottumwa, to Paul and Elizabeth Orndorff Heckart. She was a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene. She married Ellis M. "Butch" Tomlinson on Mar. 22, 1930 in Ottumwa. He died on Jan. 30, 1984.

She is survived by her son in Douds, a daughter, Joann Davis of Ottumwa, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three brothers, Clarence "Bud" Heckart of rural Blakesburg, and Paul and Kenneth Heckart both of McAllen, Texas, and three sisters, Barbara Clark of Ottumwa, Mary Lee Buehner of Torrance, Calif., and Betty McCaughey of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 1985 at Johnson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Miller and Rev. Stanley Reiley officiating. Burial was in Shaul Cemetery. A memorial was established.
