A funeral for Carol A. Lawson, 56, of Arizona City will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ, 805 Racine St. Visitation was scheduled 7-9 p.m. Friday at Cole & Maud Mortuary. Burial will be in Iowa.

Mrs. Lawson was born Nov. 20, 1936, in Van Buren County, Iowa. She was a former City of Casa Grande employee and worked for the public works department and the city manager. She was recording secretary for the Casa Grande Industrial Development Authority and an active member of the CPS Society of Arizona, serving in the past as its president, secretary and membership chairwoman. She was a member of the Church of Christ, where she taught children’s Bible classes. She died July 20, 1993.

She is survived by her husband, Roxie; two daughters, Terry of Phoenix and Linda of Chicago; her mother and stepfather of Fairfield, Iowa; five brothers; one sister; and one grandchild.
