Jaye C. Crist

Jaye C. Crist, age 63, of Estes Park, Colo. died Dec. 28, 1984, in Tucson, Ariz., following a lengthy illness.

He was born at Pacific Junction, Iowa, the son of Edgar and Martha Harness Crist. He graduated from Douds High School and was a World War II Air Force veteran. He had farmed in the Council Bluffs, Iowa, area from 1949 until his retirement to Colorado in 1982.

He was a member of Zion Congregational Church of Treynor; Silver Light Lodge No. 400, AF & AM, of Silver City; Silver City Chapter No. 536, Order of the Eastern Star; Tangier Temple Shrine of Omaha; and the American Legion at Mineola.

Surviving are his wife, the former Kathleen Ruble; a daughter, Nancy Thiel, and son James of Silver City; four sisters; four brothers; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec. 31 at his church in Treynor, with burial in Zion Cemetery there. Masonic services were conducted the evening before and military rites at the graveside.
