DONALD D. DOUD

Donald D. Doud, son of Samuel Clell and Juanita LaRue Doud, was born October 28, 1915 in Ottumwa and departed this life the afternoon of Saturday, December 15, 1984 at St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa at the age of 69.

He grew up in Douds and graduated from Douds High School. He was a retired machinist and most of his active life was spent in Peoria, Illinois. The past several years he had resided at River Hills Care Center in Ottumwa, due to failing health.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Richard, Lori, and Kathy, and a great-grandchild, all of Peoria. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. C.N. Schrodt, Roseville, Illinois and two brothers, Paul, Springfield, Illinois and Carl of Ottumwa. Preceding him in death were his wife, Ruth, sons Richard and Jerry, and his father.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 18, 1984 at 10:30 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds with Rev. Bob Patterson officiating. Interment was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery north of Douds.
