Jessie L. Kerr

Jessie L. Kerr, daughter of A.D. and Sue Ella Toalson Dickey, was born May 16, 1891 at Fayette, Mo., and died the afternoon of Sunday, Aug. 12, 1984 at Grand Prairie, Texas.

In 1908 she married Elmer Kerr at Fayette. They lived in Mt. Sterling and operated a general store for many years. Mr. Kerr died in 1942. She later lived in Des Moines and moved to Texas in the early 1960's. Two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death. Remaining are a son, Carl of Grand Prairie, two grandchildren, Kay Blanton and Jerry Kerr, and two great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Kerr was a member of the Mt. Sterling United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 17, 1984 at 3 p.m. in the Mt. Sterling United Methodist Church, with Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Interment was in Harness Cemetery near Mt. Sterling. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
