Estle Earl Gooden

Estle Earl Gooden was born on March 4, 1920, in Davis County, Iowa and was reared there by his parents, Earl Edgar and Delphia Lasley Gooden.

He married Gwendolyn Price on Dec. 24, 1941 in Memphis, Mo. They made their home on a farm south of Milton for the next 38 years. In 1979, they moved to Milton, but continued to do some farming until his recent death.

He was a member of the Milton Christian Church.

Survivors include his widow and their daughters, Sherry Utzinger and Marsha Harward of Milton and Rhonda Woodruff of Galt, Mo., three brothers, Kenneth of Memphis, Mo., LaVerne of Ottumwa and Robert of Milton and six grandchildren.

Estle died at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 1984. Services were held on Friday afternoon, June 22, 1984, at the Christian Church in Milton and burial was at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

Priester Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
