George L. Russell

George L. Russell, a native of Milton, died on May 9, 1984.

He was born in Milton and always considered it his hometown and Iowa his home state.

He had been ill for over three years with a heart condition. He suffered another heart attack on May 9.

Remaining are his wife, one daughter, and three grandsons, Fannie Plank and Bill Russell, his sister and brother.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Russell and was raised in Milton. The Russell farm is located west of Milton.

George worked in the post office department in Washington D.C. for many years.
