Lester Smith

Lester H. Smith, 50, of 138 S. Ransom was found dead the afternoon of Tuesday, April 24, 1984, at his home.

He was born July 13, 1933, at Cantril to Albert and Edna Magorian Smith. An Ottumwa resident most of his life, he served in the U.S. Air Force and the Army for 21 years, retiring in 1970.

He is survived by his father of Ottumwa; two brothers, Donald of Agency and Kenneth of Ottumwa; two sisters, Lois Martin of Muscatine and Joan Mainville of Ludlow, Mass.

Arrangements are pending at Reece Funeral Home.
