Rev. Carl Orf

Rev. Carl "Hugo" Orf, 93, of Park Rapids died Friday, March 16, 1984, at St. Park Rapids, Minn in St. Joseph's Hospital of heart failure. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 1984 at the Riverside United Methodist Church. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery.

Rev. Orf was a native of Pierceville, Kan., and a 1922 graduate of Drake University in Des Moines. He was pastor of Crocker Hill Methodist Church in Des Moines. During his 55 years as a Methodist minister, Rev. Orf served churches in Etna, Mo., the First Methodist church in Carroll, Ia., the Keosauqua United Methodist Church in Des Moines. After his retirement, he served several other Des Moines area churches. He moved to Park Rapids in 1968.

Survivors include his wife, Ella; a daughter, Louise Richardson of Park Rapids; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
