Florence Hall, daughter of Jesse and Clara Cocherell Parker was born August 18, 1909 in Keosauqua and died Thursday, April 26, 1984 at her home in Keosauqua at the age of 74.

On Dec. 20, 1934 she married Elwood Hall in Hannibal, Mo. He remains along with a niece, Darlene Millke and her husband, John, of Omaha, Neb., other relatives and friends. A brother, Marion and an infant sister preceded her in death.

Florence was a homemaker who was active in numerous community activities as long as her health permitted. She was president of the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for several years and was active in the Republican Women and various other organizations, as well as being an avid bridge player. She had been in ill health for a number of years and was cared for at home by her husband. For the past two years, Verna Holden of the Van Buren County Public Health Nursing Service had assisted in the home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 28, 1984 at 11 a.m. in Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Rev. Louise Spears officiating. Interment was in Purdom Cemetery. A memorial was established for the Van Buren County Public Health Nursing Service.
