LESTER LEO STANLEY

Lester L. Stanley, second son of Mable Trueblood Stanley and William Stanley, died in Indio, Calif., on Jan. 31, 1984. Lester was born near Stockport and lived his early life here.

On Jan. 24 he had gone to the Veterans Hospital, 70 miles from home for a checkup, and suffered a massive stroke just one mile from home.

Lester is survived by two sons and two daughters and grandchildren, three brothers, Wilbur of Azusa and George of Baldwin, Calif., Lloyd of Davenport, Iowa and one sister, Mary Bess Hamburg of Davenport. Memorial services were held at the Fitz Henry Funeral Home Chapel on Feb. 4, 1984. Officiating was Dr. Carroll Ward of the First United Methodist Church.
