ETHEL ACKLAM

Ethel Acklam, 96, OF Farmington died Thursday, December 20, 1984 at 4 p.m. at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.

Born March 26, 1889, in Farmington, she was the daughter of Corbin R. and Clara Grimm Miller.

She married John Acklam in 1915 at Farmington. She had been a resident of the Fort Madison Care Center for nine years. She was a member of the Farmington Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, George Acklam of Bushnell, Illinois and one brother, C.A. Miller of Colony, Kansas; one grandson; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.

Graveside rites were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sharon Cemetery. The Rev. Ron Haas officiated. Memorials to the Fort Madison Nursing Care Center may be left at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington.
