CARL L. BURR

Carl L. Burr, son of Arthur and Una Moss Burr, was born Aug. 23, 1907 at Seymour, Iowa and died Tuesday Nov. 8, 1983 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua at the age of 76.

He grew up in Beckwith and Fairfield, where he graduated from high school. On July 2, 1932 he married Velma Duke at Memphis, Mo.

She remains with their three sons, Donald of Red Bank, New Jersey; Robert of Yoder, Colorado; and Ronald of Phoenix, Ariz.; their daughter Norma Bratrsovsky of Rush, Colorado, and 14 grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister Margery Erhardt of Swea City, Iowa, other relatives and friends.

Carl was a long-time employee of Louden Machinery Co. in Fairfield, and farmed near Mt. Sterling until retiring in Douds.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, a good citizen and friend.

Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 11, 1983 at 10 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with Dr. Chris Daniel officiating. Interment was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery north of Douds.
