WILLIAN(M) EDWIN "BILL" SKIRVIN
William Edwin "Bill" Skirvin, 75, Birmingham, died at 4:13 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 1983, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. He had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in Keosauqua prior to his death.
Mr. Skirvin was born Dec. 25, 1907, at Batavia, the son of Rawley and Nellie Copeland Skirvin. He was a veteran of World War II and a retired farmer.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Orris, Birmingham; three brothers, Leonard, Fairfield; Mervin and John Darrel, both of Birmingham; one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1983 at the Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham with Pastor Walter Shuka officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham. Graveside military services were by the Haney-Brannan Post #181 of Birmingham.
Memorials to the Birmingham Library, Fire Department, or First Responders may be left at the Funeral Home.
