IVAN M. RATCLIFFE

Ivan M. Ratcliffe, 76, of Hawkeye Manor, Bonaparte, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday, October 10 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

The son of Roy and Pearl Armin Trout Ratcliffe, he was born November 16, 1906 in Douds where he lived most of his life. He had resided in Bonaparte since 1975.

He was a coal miner and later worked at Daniel's Appliance in Douds. For several years he was Village Township's constable.

Survivors include a nephew, two nieces and several cousins.

Services will be held Thursday, October 13 at 10 a.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah cemetery north of Douds.
