LULU S. CUMMINGS

Mrs. Lulu S. Cummings, 96, of Farmington, died at 4:55 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 1983 at the Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

Mrs. Cummings was born February 19, 1887, near Farmington. She had been a bookkeeper at the former Timpe Department Store in Fort Madison. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Farmington, the United Methodist Women, the Royal Neighbors of America, the Royal Neighbors of America, the Order of Eastern Star and the Farmington Cemetery Association.

On October 9, 1907, in Fort Madison, she was married to Minor A. Cummings, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Earl Cummings of Fairfield and Albert E. Cummings of Milburn, Florida; and four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother. Her parents were C.J. and Louis Hagelstine Wendt.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington. Burial was in the Farmington cemetery.

A memorial is being established with the Farmington Cemetery Association. Contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington.
