Ovie Hufford

A funeral for Ovie Hufford, 81, of Kahoka, Mo., who died Friday, July 22, 1983 in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., was held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 25, 1983 in the Shaffer and Sons Chapel, Kahoka, with the Revs. Carl Martin and Dale Kronquist officiating.

Burial was in Revere Cemetery.

Memorials have been established at the Missouri Kidney Foundation and the Renal Dialysis Unit at Blessing Hospital.

He was born March 3, 1902, in Clark Co., Mo., son of Frank and Minnie Crown Hufford. He married Fern Daniel July 2, 1922 at Revere, Mo.

He lived and farmed in Clark County all his life and was a carpenter by trade.

Survivors include his wife, Fern; son William Hufford of Revere; daughter, Mrs. Leroy (Evelyn) Frazier of Luray, Mo., Mrs. Charles (Lourena) Wilson of Fort Madison, Mrs. Kenneth (Darlene) Albertson of Simi Valley, Calif.; brothers Melvin Hufford of Keokuk, Donald Hufford of Farmington, sisters, Mrs. Fred (LaVeta) Salter of Farmington, Mrs. Arden (Jeanette) Gray of Bonaparte; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and a great-granddaughter.
